PROGRAMME
The intention of this course is to take you through all of the features of PhoneGap, a popular cross-platform mobile development framework recently acquired by Adobe and donated into the Apache Software Foundation as Apache Cordova. PhoneGap runs natively on the device and gives users the full “native app” experience. As well as PhoneGap, the course will also take a detailed look at jQuery Mobile, a popular UI framework for mobile-adaptive websites.

COURSE PREREQUISITES
To benefit from Matthew Baxter-Reynolds' PhoneGap/Apache Cordova course, you should have at least prior understanding of modern Web development technologies, particularly CSS, jQuery, AJAX and JSON. Server-side scripting elements are relatively limited on this course as the technology is mostly client-side in nature, although learners will be assumed to have some understanding of PHP, ASP.NET or similar.

Important! The exercises in this PhoneGap/Apache Cordova course look at iOS and Android development, hence you need to bring a Mac.
