Business intelligence (BI) is a valuable tool to gain visibility into the health of departments, business, and business processes. The Pentaho BI Suite provides a platform including a server, client tools, and technologies that enable the full spectrum of business intelligence and data warehouse activities. Sourcesense's 5-day 'Pentaho Bootcamp' course is an introductory-level course designed to give attendees a fast-track into learning the entirety of the Pentaho BI Suite.
Using your own laptop and a variety of taught material and learning labs you will learn how to install, configure and administer the BI Suite, and leave with a working demonstration solution that you can later play with and continue to use in your own organisation. You will gain familiarity with each of the BI Suite components, and will be capable of developing solutions with these components and directing your own progress with more advanced learning material.

If you want to get a broad overview of the entire Pentaho BI Suite, with approximately one day's training for each component, learn how to use the tools and run your own Pentaho project, this is the best introduction you can get. This course also serves as an excellent lead-in to Pentaho's more advanced courses that target single applications in more depth.
This course is designed for system administrators, system integrators, content developers, software developers, and BI consultants; however it is valuable to anyone with a basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts that has an interest in Business Intelligence.
COURSE PREREQUISITES
This course has no Pentaho Training course prerequisites. It is, however, a fast paced course intended for technical staff or those experienced in BI.
Important - Please note: You are required to bring your own laptop. You will need a Microsoft® Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 laptop with at least 1.3 GHz CPU, 2 GB of memory, and 1 GB of available hard drive space in order to install the Pentaho BI Suite and complete the Labs.
