AGILE AFRICA CONFERENCE 2012 11-05-12

Skills Matter is pleased to support the first ever Agile Africa Conference 2012 taking place in Johannesburg South Africa from 11-12 May 2012!

Various local and national Pioneers in the Agile, Lean and Kanban fields will provide a platform where ScrumMasters, Product Owners, Agile Project Managers, Team Leads, Testers, Managers, Designers and Developers can learn new techniques to deal with real world problems. Some international speakers are also signed up to add some perspective to the mix of messages.

The Conference Theme
'Agile has never been this wild'! The conference is jam packed with specialized talks from well known speakers in the fields of Agile, XP, Lean and Kanban including Mary & Tom Poppendieck, Jurgen Appelo, Martin Fowler, Rolf Russel, Jamie Tischartand many more. They share their knowledge in an Agile charged atmosphere.

Topics are grouped under "Agile & people" as well as "Agile & Technology", to please a wider audience with more variety. While some talks require participation, others are in the main venue.

The conference is over two days, and is structured as follows: Mornings and evenings all delegates gather in the auditorium for a key note from one of the speakers. Between these times, delegates can choose any one of at least three talks hosted on three different stages.

The Conference target audience is anyone from any of 'Shu', 'Ha' or 'Ri' levels; meaning everyone, no matter your skill level, is welcome!

Registration is open! There is a discounted Super Early Bird rate available for the first 70 tickets sold. Details of pricing is as follows:

  • First 70 tickets are sold at a Super Early Bird rate of ZAR 1550
  • After the first 70 tickets are sold, the Early Bird rate of ZAR 1999 applies
  • Tickets purchased after 15th April are sold at a rate of ZAR 2500
