Skills Matter is pleased to support
Dojo Connect,an online conference taking place from Wed 10th through to Friday 12th February 2010! The purpose of the conference is to bring the global Dojo community together to discuss strategies and techniques for taking advantage of the power Dojo brings to a Development Team.
The Conference will be 100% online, with a portion of the proceeds going back to the Dojo Foundation to support its ongoing work.
Speakers
Dojo Connect will have many of the active developers both in attendance and presenting. Co-Creators Alex Russell and Dylan Schiemann, as well as the Dojo Project Lead, Peter Higgins, will be presenting one or more mind blowing sessions. Additionally, sessions will be hosted by leaders of the major components of the toolkit. There will also be sessions presented by Dojo Community members providing practical advice and experience for Dojo Development. Full details of speakers and their biographies can be found
here.
The Conference will be held over three days. The first two days will consist primarly of talks and seminars from Dojo Developers and prominent community members. The third day will be a community event...a global Dojo Developer Day for those of you who have attended other DDD events..
Schedule
The detailed agenda is still under construction as the speakers and their sessions are finalized. The general schedule is as follows:
Day 1 and 2
The first two days of the conference will consist 1-hour discussions with prominent Dojo Community members, as well an interesting keynote speakers on each of these days. Attendees will view the speaker(s) with a live audio/video stream as well as a a stream containing the speakers presentation material. Interaction with the speaker will be available for all attendees via live Chat with the speakers and other attendees. Several public meeting rooms will also be available for live audio/video communication with speakers and other attendees.
Day 3
Day 3 will be what the community makes of it. We are providing the means and a loose structure, but this day is intended to be community driven. We hope to get feedback on the current and future versions of Dojo and anything else you want to raise to the community. Unlike the first two days, this day will be split into multiple discussion groups. Any of them are open to any attendee and speakers. This is a unique opportunity to not only learn how to be more effective as a web developer, but also to integrate directly with the community and help drive the future direction of Dojo. The final day will feature an exciting roundtable discussion.
