At this LRUG meeting, Martin Kleppman will talk about a Ruby Invoicing Framework Gem, Paul Jensen will talk about using Geokit in Social Apps and last but not least, Jon Gilbraith will show how to take a modular approach to views and creating builder classes to abstract structural html and view logic into Ruby blocks.

As we already have more than 100 people signed up, Skills Matter is renting the Old Sessions House to host this session! The Old Sessions House can hold a maximum of 160 people, so if you fancy coming, get your skates on and register!

USING GEOKIT IN SOCIAL APPS

Paul Jensen: Geokit is a RubyGem and Rails plugin with a wrapper interface to various geocoding providers and supports geocoding addresses, latitude/longitude coordinates and IP addresses.
