LONDON XFORMS USER GROUP : BIG FORMS IN BIG BUSINESS

XForms is attracting a growing following for use in small data-entry forms, dynamically-generated by content management systems and workflow engines.
But what about large forms, such as those for buying mortgages and insurance products, filling in tax returns, applying for a passport, and so on? Can XForms help make it easier to build and maintain these kinds of applications? And if it can, how should we go about it?
Our speaker, Neal Champion, has first-hand experience of trying to find ways to develop and manage large, frequently-changing forms, having worked for many years in the UK insurance industry.

Its standards body, Origo, has been responsible for devising industry-standard schemas, and for encouraging their use in combination with XForms as a way to improve the accuracy of captured data.
