FP DAYS 2012 25-10-12

Skills Matter is pleased to support FP Days 2012 - the UK event for the Functional Programming community taking place in Cambridge on 25-26th October 2012!

Intended to be hands-on and interactive, FP day will give you the opportunity to share experiences with others, find out more about the latest tools and techniques available, network with your peers and have a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

CONFERENCE KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
The organisers have announced Francesco Cesarini (@FrancescoC) as a keynote speaker for this year's conference.

Keynote: What they do not teach you about running a business when taking your computer science degree

Francesco Cesarini is the founder of Erlang Solutions Ltd. He has used Erlang on a daily basis since 1995, starting as an intern at Ericsson’s computer science laboratory, the birthplace of Erlang. He moved on to Ericsson’s Erlang training and consulting arm working on the first release of OTP, applying it to turnkey solutions and flagship telecom applications. In 1999, soon after Erlang was released as open source, he founded Erlang Solutions, who have become the world leaders in Erlang based consulting, contracting, training and systems development.
