IN THE BRAIN OF TROND BJERKESTRAND, WORKING WITH DATABASES IN SCALA USING SLICK / SCALAQUERY
SLICK, the Scala Language Integrated Connection Kit, is a framework for connecting to databases (both relational and NoSQL) and other data
sources. It integrates them seamlessly into Scala, so that stored and
remote data can be queried and processed in the same way as in-memory
data using plain Scala classes and collections.
This talk will give an
overview over SLICK and give examples how you can use it to create and
query rational databases.
Trond is in town delivering Typesafe's 2-Day Advanced Scala course. on September 26th & 27th
Tuesday 25th September 2012
