ELEVATE EVENTS : ELEVATE LAUNCH EVENT - THE SAAS PLATFORM CONNECTING CONTRACTORS AND HIRING CLIENTS

Elevate is happy to announce its Skills Matter community launch event on the 7th March 2012, showcasing the new elevatedirect.com platform to the Tech Contract Community.

Elevate is a next generation SAAS platform for contractors and clients, built using Amazon Web Services. Contractors build profiles which clients can search on and contact direct, via the platform. Payment services are also built in, via a global payments partner.

Creating an Elevate profile is easy and free – your current CV is parsed, extracting skills and experience, you just confirm everything is correct. Once happy with your profile, set your rate and availability and you become searchable to recruiting clients. Clients are encouraged to provide project/ role details and you can edit your profile and status at any time.

Come along to the event on the 7th at 18.30pm and mix with other contractors, current and future clients (including online retailer Ocado)and the team behind Elevate including CTO Michael Delaney, who manages all technical direction and development for the elevate platform.

Michael will talk about leading the project from initial conception, through designing the architecture and building the platform using a co-located team using agile best practices including Scrum. You will also learn about some of the difficulties experienced by the team in building the platform, how these were overcome and see a live demo of the platform on the night! Also see how the platform is seamlessly hosted on AWS utilsing EC2, ELB, S3, RDS and Elasticache.

Looking forward to it? share it! Join the conversation on twitter using hashtag #elevatelaunch
