Skills Matter is pleased to support the fourth annual GeeCON 2012 Java and JVM conference taking place in Poznań, Poland on 16-18th May!

GeeCON is a conference focused on Java and Java Virtual Machine based technologies, with special attention to dynamic languages like Groovy and Ruby. GeeCON is a forum for sharing experiences about modern software development methodologies, enterprise architectures, software craftsmanship, design patterns, distributed computing and more!

The event kicks off with a University Day on 16th May with 9 in-depth talks to choose from. This is followed by the 2-day, 4-track conference covering Java, Agile, Cloud, NoSQL, Groovy, Scala and more.

With more than 35 speakers and 42+ sessions to choose from, the event is for everyone interested in new things from the world of Java and related universes! Conference schedule is a mix of invited and call for papers talks.

SPEAKERS

Adam Bien: Expert Group member for the Java EE, Java Champion, JavaOne 2011 Rock Star
Kevlin Henney: Co-author of "A Pattern Language for Distributed Computing" and "On Patterns and Pattern Languages" and others.
Dierk König: Works for Canoo Engineering AG, he is a committer to many open-source projects including Groovy, Grails, GPars, GroovyFX and Canoo WebTest.
Sam Newman: Principal Consultant at ThoughtWorks, currently runs the Cloud & Continuous Delivery Practices for Europe
Martijn Verburg:'The Diabolical Developer', London JUG co-lead, Open Source developer, co-author of "The Well-Grounded Java Developer"
Peter Hilton : Software developer, Play framework committer, and co-author of the forthcoming book ‘Play 2 with Scala in Action’
