HASKELL EXCHANGE 2013 09-10-13

The first edition of the Haskell eXchange at Skills Matter was a tremendous success with the community coming out in full force for a day packed with fascinating talks & deep-dive discussions. If you missed it, don't worry, you can watch all the videos here. Or better yet, why not come along to this edition?

We're poised to repeat 2012's success in 2013. Over the next months, we'll be working to put together a bleeding edge programme for the second edition of the Haskell eXchange. For you proper devoted Haskell fanatics out there, we're touting the first 25 tickets for just £75! Quite a steal for a day of the cream of the Haskell crop. Tip of the veil: Simon Peyton Jones is confirmed to join us again come October 9th! Don't miss out and book your tickets right here!

In the meantime, why don't you have a look at the following courses:

Well-Typed's Fast Track to Haskell

Want to learn how to use Haskell, its type system design and functional programming concepts? And find out how to use the features that make Haskell unique even among functional languages? Join Haskell expert Andres Loh on July 8th-9th (2013) and learn how you can use Haskell's excellent capabilities for abstraction to design robust functional programs in a principled and systematic way! Find out more here: http://skillsmatter.com/course/scala/well-typed-fast-track-to-haskell/wd-5240

In this course, you will learn all about:

-Haskell's evaluation mechanism and how to debug performance problems.
-Techniques and what data structures to use for getting the most idiomatic and best performing code.
-Abstractions offered for both concurrency and high-level, deterministic parallel programming, enabled by Haskell's explicit side effects.
