About John Stevenson
|
|
John Stevenson has worked as a consultant on many projects, offering advice on Object Oriented analysis and design, Java technology and Open Source Software. He has also worked for training companies such as Objective Alliance and Valtech, providing training on UML, iterative development and extreme programming. John has also published articles in Ovum.
John has been applying his knowledge of agile development within more traditional industries, helping leverage these agile techniques to deliver greater business value. Inspired by David J. Anderson and the Limited WIP Society, John has been applying lean techniques such as Kanban, system thinking and value stream mapping to improve business effectiveness and extend practices such as Scrum to a wider scope.
John is also an avid visitor to the many talks at skills matter (you may have seen him there once or twice - a week) and is active in the London Java Community, Graduate Development community, London Scala User Group and the possible formation of a London Ubuntu community.
In his spare time, John likes to cycle... quite a lot... like 200-400k on a weekend if he is not too busy learning Scala or Clojure.
Check out John's blogs on Java & Open Source and Lean & Agile techniques.
