About Russell Brown
|
|
Russell Brown is an Engineer at Basho Technologies. He got his start with BASIC and copying machine code game listings as a kid after his dad bought an Atari 400 for an OU degree in Computer Science. His first paid programming gig was at Freeserve during the free ISP and Broadband boom and has since worked on various distributed systems, including the UK cash machine network. Russell got his first taste of Erlang on his honeymoon in 2007 and, in early 2011, was recruited by Basho to work on Riak and the Riak Java Client. He's passionate about technically-sound software, strong ale, and cycling.
