Agile methods often talk about self-empowered, self-starting teams controlling their own environment. This often implies a contradiction in responsibility and authority for the typical manager role. During this talk, we'll look at some of the implications of agile methods and what impact it has on the typical manager role within an organisation. We'll also explore why management is still needed and what it looks like in an agile environment.
