Cloud technology has been around for some time but it’s generally been confined to large public clouds like Amazon and Google app engine. The world is changing ... organizations are now starting to build their own clouds to support their agile teams.

In this talk Toby Hobson will give an overview of cloud technology before exploring the benefits and pitfalls of private cloud technology for agile development teams. The talk will conclude with a comparison of the commercial and open source technologies on the market today. Topics addressed will include:

Why infrastructure is the Achilles heel of agile development
How clouds can empower development teams

Dealing with legacy systems
