In The Brain of James Gellately-Smith & George Richmond: Accessory Shop in the Cloud
Accessory Shop in the Cloud
Developing applications using the cloud offers great opportunities for agile working and continuous delivery. However, it also requires new thinking to address some old problems.
In this talk, James Gellately-Smith and George Richmond describe the experience of building the Sky accessory shop website using a platform as a service (PaaS) vendor, and how the team overcame some key challenges to deliver an innovative solution.
Technologies discussed during this session include Ruby, Heroku and some cloud based plugins like Airbrake and New Relic.
