The SOLID Principles of Test Design


When did we forget that tests were software? When did we decide that tests didn't need to follow the rules of software design? The fact is that the tests we write are *part* of our software system, and are subject to all the same rules that our other software modules are subject too. Do your tests take to long to run? Do your tests break when you change other parts of the software? Do you grit your teeth and wince when it's time to run the tests? If so, you've probably abandon good software design principles when writing your tests. In this talk, Uncle Bob will explain the SOLID principles of TEST DESIGN. He'll show you that tests are a component within your architecture, not a wart that you sometimes stick on the side.
