In The Brain of Kito Mann: Ajax and JSF: Natural Synergy
Ajax and JSF: Natural Synergy
With the emergence of Ajax as a preferred way of building web user interfaces, JavaServer Faces (JSF) has proved itself to be a natural fit for integrating Ajax with Java sever-side logic. JSF allows you to build Ajax applications without worrying about the complexities of JavaScript and DHTML. However, many different approaches for using Ajax with JSF have emerged. At this Skills Matter In-the-Brain session, Kito Mann looks at these different approaches, the pros and cons, and provides key insight into JSF's future as an AJAX web development platform.

Kito Mann's JSF2 in ActionBuild highly interactive Ajax-enabled applications with JavaServer Faces (JSF) 2, the standard web application framework for Java EE. JSF 2 incorporates time-saving features, such as convention-over-configuration, built-in Ajax, templating, simple custom UI component development, and several powerful third-party Ajax component suites. JSF applications can be integrated seamlessly with Spring and/or Java EE. This course covers the key features of JavaServer Faces and walks you through building different aspects of a JSF application. You will also learn how to take advantage of rich JSF component suites such as ICEfaces and RichFaces.
Delegates will also receive a copy of JavaServer Faces 2.0, The Complete Reference during the course. Find out more here

Brian Sletten's Semantic Web Technologies Bootcamp
Brian Sletten's five day Semantic Web Technologies Bootcamp provides a broad, example-driven and compelling vision of computing's future. Organisations are struggling with data integration solutions that operate at the wrong level of abstraction or are shackled to legacy systems with no idea of how to modernize incrementally. Their service-oriented architectures decompose business processes into services without the ability to identify and protect the information that flows through these services. In this course, you will learn how the technical and business value of Web semantics is available and useful today behind firewalls as well as on the public Web. Find out more
