The Ajax landscape has come a long way in the last year, and the pioneer days of rolling your own request, UI and helper libraries seems to be giving way to a less demanding development approach, in which a variety of libraries, frameworks and tools can help out. (And there’s still plenty of variety to choose from, thank goodness!. In this session Dave focused on the tools, tips and techniques that can take the pain out of Ajax development, and on strategies for managing the migration of legacy web apps towards Ajax.

Dave Crane has been working with the internet since the early 1990's and has experience of Perl, Java, Jini, JEE, Python and Ruby and, of course, Javascript. He has written extensively about Ajax and pattern languages for the client-side.
