Find Your Ninja Project
Following the success of our 'Off-line Job Board', where development teams can talk about new positions on their teams and developers (and agilists, testers, architects) can announce their availability, Skills Matter and MiniBar have joined up to see if we can take the idea of 'jobs for and by developers' further.
We are organising an evening, dedicated to help development teams find new colleagues and developers can find out about some really cool projects. At this evening event, up to 10 Tech Companies will pitch their coding projects – young web start-ups as well as more established ones, with innovative projects – to software developers looking for interesting, agile projects using progressive technologies.
The format is straight forward: we start with ten lightning sessions where the developer team and/or CTO of each company can pitch their software project and open position for 3 minutes. Find out more

Tom and Mary Poppendieck's Lean Software Development Leaders Workshop
As global competitiveness comes to the software development industry, the search is on for a better way to create first-class software rapidly, repeatedly, and reliably. Lean initiatives in manufacturing, logistics, and services have led to dramatic improvements in cost, quality and delivery time; can they do the same for software development? The short answer is “Absolutely!”
This intensive two day workshop aimed at leaders will help you apply lean principles such as Rapid Response, Constant Learning, Built-in Quality, Local Responsibility and Global Optimization to software development. Find out more

Gojko Adzic's BDD for Developers
This hands-on BDD workshop will help you get the key skills needed to succeed with behaviour driven development and specification by example. Through simulations and practical exercises, you will apply the ideas and practices of BDD to solve the most common issues development teams have with specifications and tests. You will use Cucumber to define and automate BDD scenarios to provide stakeholders with visibility into software features and help the delivery teams drive development and build quality in from the start. Even bad code can function. But if code isn't clean, it can bring a development organisation to its knees. Every year, countless hours and significant resources are lost because of poorly written code. But it doesn't have to be that way? This is a two-day hands-on course in which you will learn the principles and practices of Clean Code as described in Robert C. Martin's book: Clean Code: A Handbook of Agile Software Craftsmanship. You will also receive this book as part of the course materials. This Clean Code course alternates between lecture and exercise so that you can experience, first-hand, the practices and disciplines of these fundamental topics.
