Ruby Invoicing Framework Gem
Martin Kleppmann recently released his Ruby invoicing gem version 0.2. For a general commercial invoicing application one might start with paypal, but this soon gets complicated when dealing with VAT, resellers/affiliates etc. With an invoicing Gem, one can leave out having to parse HTTP headers and juggling credits and debits. Martin's Gem is developer friendly and accountant-friendly. Cracktastic is a simple and contrived example Rails app into which the invoicing Gem can be integrated. It is possible to set up a ledger, create custom invoice type and example records with e.g. multi-currency support. As a bonus the 0.3 version is able to process automatic tax calculation.
