In The Brain of Richard Clark: Network Programming Overview for iOS
Network Programming Overview for iOS
The top non-game iOS apps (and many game apps) share a common feature: they connect to the network to share information, collect new content, make in-app purchases, or extend a web-based service. But writing these apps requires some special skills.
We'll get you started into iOS network programming by examining the classes you'll need and open source libraries to get you started. We'll also touch on the issues of performance, testing, and securing your app.
