:Tony Garnock-Jones-RabbitMQ Internal Architecture
Tony Garnock-Jones-RabbitMQ Internal Architecture
Following on from Alexis’ talk giving an introduction to RabbitMQ, Tony attempts to explain something of the internal architecture of RabbitMQ. Along with this he also tries to explain how RabbitMQ can be used in federation and in achieving redundancy for high availability.
Tony begins by explaining the internal architecture of RabbitMQ and how it is built in several clusters and then how these clusters can be joined together to form even larger messaging networks. Tony also explains the Shovel system within RabbitMQ and how it can be used to achieve other network topology such as a ring structure if so desired.
Tony then moves on to explain how RabbitMQ can be used in a network requiring high availability, either by generating more than paths through which the message can follow. It is a very interesting talk guiding through the complicated details of a message broker but providing much needed insight for those hoping to make use of one.
