Spring MVC
Jan Machacek, the author of
Practical Spring Developer Bootcamp,
Practical Spring Developer Bootcamp and
Practical Spring Web Workshop, will give a talk on Spring MVC; he will explain the principles of the MVC architecture and show how the main components in the Spring Framework. You will see how to create a Spring MVC web application, including support for REST. We will explore how to create Spring MVC controllers, views and how to prepare the models while keeping the application's source code as independent from Spring MVC as possible.
At the end of Jan's talk, you will know how to create Spring MVC web applications that make the most of the latest features in the Spring Framework.
You'll get most from Jan’s talk if you know the fundamentals of Java and understand principles of Java web applications. Ideally, you'll also be aware of the dependency injection design pattern and you'll have tried out the Spring Framework.
