FREE: Eclipse DemoCamp: Dave Savage on Introducing the Newton Project
Introducing the Newton Project
Dave Savage gives a demo of the Newton project that offers a distributed OSGi application runtime. This will take an app developed and tested in Sigil and demonstrate how simple it is to deploy, scale and add resilience using Newton as the application runtime.
Review:
In this talk, Dave Savage introduces the Newton Project, a distributed OSGi framework. Newton is based on the SCA standard and aims to be dynamic in its allocation of code, putting it on the most appropriate computational resource. It can install code on demand and remove it when no longer in use. One of the nice features of the Newton Project is the ability to visualise the dependencies within the applications.Dave gives a good demo of the various features of the Newton Project outlining all of its key aspects.
