We are currently living the revival of the mobile industry. The advent of new smartphone devices are revolutionizing the way we communicate. In the last 2 years, the mobile market has been flooded with new hardware and operating systems. Thus creates a new way for software developers to promote and create applications suited for a mobile society. Android is the platform of choice for hackers and free spirits - as in free and open source developers. In this first meeting, we will introduce the Android platform and research the possibilities given by the platform.

Founded in 2007 by Kevin McDonaugh and Carl-Gustaf Harroch, the London Android User Group meets monthly at Skills Matter to discuss discuss and demo Android platform possibilities. Kevin and Carl also organise the annual DroidCon in the UK. The group has over 700 members and you can join by turning up for the sessions.
