Cloud Foundry

Since Cloud Foundry (2.0) was launched mid-April there's been a lot of talk around using CloudFoundry.com as the beta accounts are distributed amongst the early adopters. The first open Platform as a Service (PaaS), or Open Cloud Platform, went far and beyond what even the original Cloud Foundry advocates would have expected. There's a lot of power just waiting to be taken advantage of in this new cloud platform, but where do you start?

In this talk Russ Miles, CEO and Principal Consultant at OpenCredo, will talk through his experiences using CloudFoundry both as a regular cloud PaaS, hosted by VMware at CloudFoundry.com, and using CloudFoundry locally as a multi-runtime, scalable platform for building in-house applications. Russ will walk through the architecture and the highlights of the CloudFoundry codebase while demonstrating hands-on how to build and deploy a variety of applications and services to the public and your own private CloudFoundry instances.
