Apps for Good:Dragons' Den Anti-bullying App
Dragons' Den Anti-bullying App
In this presentation, Fahima, Tanya, Thasmiah, Marayam showcase their "Antibullying App".
Skills Matter was very proud to host the 3rd Apps for Good Dragons Den event, organised by Educational charity CDI Europe.
The event took place on July 12th, in the style of the BBC's "Dragons's Den". Teams of Apps for Goodpresent their final app ideas to a Dragons's Den panel, who judge and decide the future development of their ideas.Since Spring this year, young people from Central Foundation Girls School in East London and High Trees Community Centre in South London, have been working in teams to research and reflect on issues that affect their lives and their communities, and creating mobile apps to solve them.
Our panel of dragons included:
- Neil Johnson - Managing Director, A&N Media, Mobile and TV
- Keving Peesker - GM for Dell UK and Ireland, CSMB
- Chris James - Editor, Pocket Gamer
- Chewy Trewhella - New Business Development Manager, Google
- Wendy Devolder - CEO for Skills Matter
Apps for Good is run by CDI Europe and is supported by Dell and YouthConnect and The Nominet Trust. Skills Matter thinks Apps for Good is a fantastic initiative and supports this event by providing our venue. Other great companies are also sponsoring this event and this great organisation.
