JavaFX Update
The release date of Java FX 1.0 is happening on the 2nd December 2008 on the same night. So Peter will give a demonstration and talk about the new functionality.
Review:
In the opening talk, Peter dishes about JavaFX and some of the features that will be included in release 1.0. JavaFX is going to provide users a single Java platform for both browser and desktop deployment, saving developers time, effort, and money. A mobile emulator will be included with release 1.0 and JavaFX Mobile is planned to be released in about 1 year. Cross-platform video/audio playback support is another piece of functionality included in JavaFX. Finally, Peter talks about some of the changes from the Preview release of the platform .
