This Java Web User Group BOF had a focus on Spring, featuring Peter Pilgrim (JUG leader) and Phil Zoio. Peter's talk was on Spring Framework Update on 2.1 for Enterprise Applications and he provides an update on the forthcoming attractions in Spring 2.1 that were revealed at the SpringOne 2007 Conference in Antwerp. He also explained how to get the best out of the Spring Framework for enterprise application with a web bias.

Open Source and Java Developer, Phil Zoio spoke on Spring Extensions for Large, Complex and Evolving Applications and looked into questions such as how well does the Spring Framework handle, large, complex and dynamic projects? He presented a fascinating grab bag of techniques for addressing such issues, ranging from some downright useful and practical Spring extensions to innovative and experimental techniques.
