Resource-Oriented Computing: (R)evoluotion in REST
RESTful design is gaining visibility and acceptance as the preferred
approach for large scale systems and Web services. Is it a fad?
This presentation will explore why REST works so well and how it leads
to an approach called Resource-Oriented Computing (ROC). ROC unifies
core computer science principles found in Unix and the Web and makes
them available to general purpose application and system development.
For several years architects has been using ROC to develop robust,
flexible, high performance systems with minimal code. Learn what they
have discovered and see how REST will evolve in the coming years.
