Hadoop User Group UK:Using Nutch and Hadoop for Natural Language Processing
Using Nutch and Hadoop for Natural Language Processing
Serious human language technologies pose a series of engineering
challenges: dealing with enormous volumes of data, large-scale machine
learning and efficient deployment. Hadoop promises to achieve these aims
and should help us remain internationally competitive. Our current
exploration of Hadoop has been dealing with Blog posts, language
modelling and also with Canopy Clustering. Miles also touches upon the
relationship between teaching, research and Hadoop.
