JAVAWUG:Web Framework Smackdown
Web Framework Smackdown
ebruary's JAVAWUG BOF featured a Web Framework Smackdown, with three proponents battling it out.

The pros and cons of RIFE, a new generation full-stack framework based on advanced template technology were explained by Emmanuel Okyere. Peter Pilgrim represented Spring MVC, and the companion project Spring Webflow. Kevin Saunders showed how to use Java 5.0/JSP 2.0/EL/Servlet 2.4 as your web framework, including examples of the current version of Java together with the recent JSP/Servlet specification, which will allow you to create MVC sites quickly and easily. Of course we headed on over the The Crown afterwards, for drinks and more discussion!
