Grails eXchange 2007: Dylan Schiemann on Dojo 0.9: Faster, Leaner and Dijit?
Dojo 0.9: Faster, Leaner and Dijit?
As the Dojo Toolkit celebrates its third anniversary of providing a solid Ajax and JavaScript toolkit, it is undergoing a significant transformation to improve performance and simplify its usage. In this session Dylan talked about the lessons learned in developing the Dojo toolkit. Regardless of whether you’ve used Dojo before or not, this session is for anyone that is considering writing their own JavaScript toolkit and wants to make new mistakes instead of the ones made in previous version of Dojo.
Dylan also shared a first-hand perspective on:
-
What Dojo does well & what needs improvement
- Features that are changing for the better
- New functionality you can gain with Dijit, Dojo’s new widget library.
