SFDC London User Group:Effective B2C management
Effective B2C management

Stony Grunow gives a talk for the SalesForce User Group on Effective B2C management for companies using the "Contacts and Organisations" package.

Salesforce was designed around the Account object, suiting it for B2B models. But what if your organisation needs to work with individuals? Salesforce's oft- maligned Person Accounts is one solution, but has major problems as it breaks the tradition of keeping contact details on the Contact Object. A different, more robust option is to use the freely available "Contacts and Organisations" package, produced by the Salesforce Foundation.

NOSQL eXchange (Nov 2)

Skills Matter is hosting the first annual NOSQL eXchange this November. Jim Webber has kindly agreed to be the Programme Lead for this conference, and together we are working on a great day of learning and sharing of skills on NOSQL technologies.

We are still working on the programme, and are planning for 7 speaker slots in one day. The plan is to feature talks covering MongoDB, CouchDB, Cassandra, Riak, Neo4J, featuring a mixture of vendors talking about what's interesting and useful in their stores as well as members from our community who are using NOSQL on their projects, sharing their experience and skills with us. Follow #nosqlx for programme updates, and get more info here
