Grails 1.4.0.M1: All changes great and small
By the time we meet up in May, Grails 1.4.0.M1 should have been released, so what better time to look at what's new in this version? Peter Ledbrook will take you through all the big changes and some of the smaller ones too. It will include:
1. Static resource handling
2. Database migration
3. Unit testing
4. New AST transformations and their implications
Afterwards, he will introduce Groovy++ and discuss how to use it within your own projects, how it compares to pure Groovy, and when you might want to use it. If you like the benefits of a statically compiled language but prefer the syntax of Groovy to Java, then this is definitely a talk to attend!
