Introducing Spring Batch 2.0 plus Spring Framework 3.0 update
Many applications require bulk processing to perform business operations in mission critical environments. Batch processing is used to process billions of transactions every day for enterprises.
Spring Batch is a lightweight, comprehensive batch framework designed to enable the development of robust batch applications vital for the daily operations of enterprise systems. Spring Batch builds upon the productivity, POJO-based development approach, and general ease of use capabilities people have come to know from the Spring Framework, while making it easy for developers to access and leverage more advance enterprise services when necessary.
Well known as lead committer to the Spring Batch project as well as having a major influence throughout SpringSource, Dave Syer will be sharing insight into the use of Spring Batch, showing some demonstrations and unveiling enhancements (scalability, XML config, Java 5…) within Spring Batch 2.0. In addition he has promised some interesting views on the long awaited Spring Framework 3.0.
