In The Brain of Neil Bartlett: Java 7 Modularity – a View from the Gallery
Java 7 Modularity – a View from the Gallery
In this talk Neil Bartlett, draws together publicly available information from expert group mailing lists, conference papers and code repositories to present the current status and likely future of modularity in Java.
Moving into greater details, Neil talks on Project Jigsaw, JSR 294 and the "module" keyword; JSR 291 and OSGi; and the Simple Module System proposal.
The emphasis is on giving you the factual information you need to plan for future changes in the Java platform -- not on political grandstanding.
