JAVAWUG:Professional Code Jam
Professional Code Jam
In this highly interactive session, Peter Pilgrim showed how easy it is to develop a game using JavaFX. First, Peter introduced some basic features of the JavaFX language so the beginners among the audience become familiar with the code. He then went through the Moon Lander game code and explained that there was a missing part responsible for drawing the landscape; the audience task was to complete that part. The presenter then spent the rest of the time helping them with the task. The audience was amazed how easy it was to create such a complex task using JavaFX. Finally, the session ended with the customary Java Web User Group raffle and prizes and a trip to the pub.
