London Geek Nights:Programming XNA
Programming XNA
Leaf Garland discusses programming with XNA.
Review:
Leaf Garland gives viewers a brief introduction to Microsoft’s new managed API for express game development on the Windows platforms (Microsoft Windows, XBOX 360, and soon also the Zune). He explains how this system essentially brings forward a common ground for game development on these multiple platforms to provide simple and abstract methods that avoid the need to create repetitive boilerplate code. Leaf then goes into a little more detail with the use of a live demo and points the viewers to a few example games, such as Sumo Squash.
