The London Clojure Community:Radical Simplicity
Radical Simplicity
Developers suffer from novelty overload. We are bombarded with a
constant stream of new languages, tools, and ideas. How are you
supposed to decide what to investigate, much less what to adopt?
The short answer is "Don't follow the tools. Follow your principles,
and see where they take you."
In this talk, I will explain a set of principles that our team is
trying to live by:
* simplicity
* power
* focus
* relevance
We believe that these principles can be defined objectively, and that
they are rarely followed in mainstream software development. If you
agree with these principles, you may find (as we have) that they
lead you to choose Clojure for mission-criticial business
applications.
