Open Hack Day 2009: London: on Ryan Kennedy - Yahoo!
Ryan Kennedy - Yahoo!
Through the Yahoo! Application and Social Platforms, developers are able to distribute their applications and content to a larger audience than ever before. This talk shows how to extend your application canvases onto the Yahoo! network using YAP and the Yahoo! Social Platform.
The Yahoo! Application Platform allows you to reach Yahoo! users and improve the Yahoo! user experience by building and deploying new experiences for them into Yahoo! pages, writing code the way you love to write it.
The Yahoo! Social Directory is the central location for Yahoo! profile data and connections lists. The Social Directory APIs will enable you to tap into a wealth of information to make your website more engaging and more "social" giving you the ability to achieve your engagement, distribution, and other business critical goals!
For more information, the Application Platform Guide is here .
