Eclipse DemoCamp 2009: Miles Sabin on Scala tooling for Eclipse
Scala tooling for Eclipse
The scala tooling for Eclipse is based on the seamless integration with the eclipse Java tools. It provides many of the features eclipse users require in order to develop scala based applications.
In this session, Miles Sabin presents the scala tooling for eclipse, it's history, current developments and the roadmap for the next major release and beyond. He also gave some insight into promise and frustrations of monkey-patching support for an alternative JVM language into eclipse's JDT using AspectJ.
