In The Brain of Ben Gidley: Tapestry 5 in Action (for real)
Tapestry 5 in Action (for real)
Tapestry 5 provides a rich component based framework for building websites and this talk will explain how it helped the team produce 'SeeSaw.com' a soon to launch video on demand website.
This talk will cover why we picked tapestry, how we converted a team of struts developers, how it worked out building a real site, how it scaled, how we test it and anything else you want to know about building a large website in Tapestry.
We will also be demonstrating some of the key features of tapestry (as used on SeeSaw.com beta) including AJAX support, cacheability, flash integration, tapestry-ioc and re-usuable components.
Just a thought...
If this talk got you excited about Tapestry and you would like to learn how to develop Web Apps with Tapestry, you may want to attend our Tapestry Workshop taught by Howard Lewis Ship, the creator of Tapestry.
