London Android User Group:HTML5, Android Webview and java bridging
HTML5, Android Webview and java bridging
In this meeting we'll explore Android application development using HTML 5, the Android WebView, and java components. A web view can be used to do more than just display a web page or snippet. It can be used to build a cross platform user interface which is stylish, adaptive, and well integrated with the application host where it lives. Specific topics include:
  1. Creation of a WebView with javascript support
  2. Injecting model data into the WebView
  3. Using javascript and CSS to dynamically adapt to screen size on phones and tablets
  4. Responding to javascript events in java code.
  5. Memory use and render time
  6. Execution on multiple Android versions
This is an exchange of ideas, so please bring your own experiences.
