W3C Widgets on Android
Anselm Garbe is currently working for Aplix Corporation as a software developer for mobile devices. In this talk is covering about his work implementing w3c widgets on android.
In this presentation he has shown different scopes of aplix widget runtime followed by a demo of Aplix Web Runtime for w3c widgets running on android, which can add w3c widgets to the home screen, running them in a widget manager application and even wrapping them up as regular Android application.
Anselm also talks about different standards and approaches of device api's, functionality of join innovation lab(jil) and of what components aplix widget runtime comprises

Founded in 2007 by Kevin McDonaugh and Carl-Gustaf Harroch, the London Android User Group meets monthly at Skills Matter to discuss discuss and demo Android platform possibilities. Kevin and Carl also organise the annual DroidCon in the UK. The group has over 700 members and you can join by turning up for the sessions.
