Find Your Ninja Project:7digital
7digital
At this event, around 10 Tech Companies will pitch their coding projects in a series of 3-minute lightning sessions to software developers looking for interesting, agile projects using progressive technologies.

Tapping into the burgeoning demand for digitally delivered media, 7digital operates both direct-to consumer services as well as powering a diverse range of media services for a growing number of global partners.
As of December 2011, 7digital employs 74 people with offices in London, Luxembourg, Los Angeles, New York and New Zealand, has a catalogue of over 17 million high quality MP3 tracks and has over 3 million registered customers around the world.

7digital Technology Stack
Most of our stack is C#/.Net but we’re using and investigating many other languages and technologies (e.g. Ruby, server side JavaScript, C++, Python). Here’s a (not exclusive) list of
technologies we currently use:
- C#, Ruby, JavaScript
- ASP.Net MVC, OpenRasta, Nhibernate, Windsor, StructureMap , NUnit, RhinoMocks,
ReSharper, NDepend
- Cucumber, Rails, RSpec, Rake, Selenium, Watir
- REST
- Git
- SQL
- Solr/Lucene
- TeamCity
7digital projects
We work on high availability customer facing products such as our own www.7digital.com and a public RESTlike API serving response and media content at a rate of 10,000 requests per minute!
Our API powers the Samsung Music Hub available on nearly all of their devices, Pure Music,
and also our own website (we eat our own dog food). Also, content ingestion and media delivery
systems for music and eBooks plus a Solr backed search system.
7digital Developer Skills
You care about software, you have a passion for what you do which you can clearly convey by
your actions rather than just waffly personal statements on your CV. For you it’s more than a job.
Experience otherwise is relative – 2 years working in an agile/XP manner is worth much more
to us than 5 in a traditional environment. If you’ve not got working experience with things like
TDD and refactoring (maybe you’ve always wanted to but your current job doesn’t allow for it)
show us you’re at least familiar with the concepts and that you really want to work in this kind of
environment and you’re still in with a good chance.
