In this talk, Viktor Klang -- contributor to the Akka and Atmosphere projects -- introduces the Futures in the Akka toolkit, and will show you how you can utilize Futures to enable non-blocking composition of parallel sources of data or computations, to defer blocking not only until the end of the universe, but to get rid of it completely. You will also see how Scalas Delimited Continuations can be used to create a seemingly blocking computation that in fact will not block, enabling Dataflow Concurrency
