The Evolution & Future of Grid in Financial Services
Platform Computing's Dr. Songnian Zhou (Co-founder and CEO) and Martin Harris (Financial Services Market Director) discussed the evolution and future of Grid in Financial Services.

Dr. Zhou provided an overview of Grid adoption in FS, particularly related to the business cases served and their rationale. Based on Platform's 15 years as the leader in Grid computing, Dr. Zhou discussed best practices for developers, architects and IT managers to successfully transition from silo clusters to a utility computing model akin to today's networking infrastructures.

Martin Harris, Financial Services Market Director at Platform, then dived deeper into the specific Financial Services use cases that have shown tremendous success in Grid computing, with details of Platform's customer cases and technology solutions used to achieve these results. He also demonstrated Platform's technologies, which was followed by an interesting open discussion.
