Phillip Carter

Phillip is a PM on the .NET team working on F# tooling, the F# language, F# documentation, and .NET project tooling for Visual Studio. Although he doesn't have much time to code, he still finds time to hang out with cool people on GitHub!

Don Syme

Don Syme

Don Syme is a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Mobile Tools and Microsoft Research, Cambridge. He works with researchers, Microsoft and open source communities to make better programming technologies, and, through that, make people more productive and happier.

Keynote: Mathias Brandewinder

Mathias Brandewinder

Mathias Brandewinder has been writing software in C# for about 10 years, and loving every minute of it, except maybe for a few release days. He is an F# MVP, the author of "Machine Learning Projects for .NET Developers" (Apress), enjoys arguing about code and how to make it better, and gets very excited when discussing TDD or F#.

Keynote: Rumyana Neykova

Rumyana Neykova

Rumyana Neykova is a Lecturer in Computer Science at Brunel University London. She has a PhD from Imperial College London and has several years of experience working on large cyberinfrastructure projects and middlewares. Her expertise is in the area of distributed systems, with a primary focus on fault-tolerance, monitoring and verification. Some of the tools in her toolbox are model checkers, SMT solvers, type systems, and compilers. She loves to create, break and improve them and she sometimes uses them to solve existing and non-existing problems.

F# eXchange 2020 Diversity Scholarship Plan

Skills Matter is proud and happy to share our F# eXchange Scholarship Plan which provides support to those from traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized groups in the technology and/or open source communities who may not have the opportunity to attend F# eXchange for various reasons.

Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of need and impact. Scholarship recipients will receive a complimentary ticket to the conference.

Please note, travel expenses are not covered under this scholarship and are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.

Eligibility

Applicants should be from a traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized groups in the technology and/or open source communities and be unable to attend without some assistance.

We will be reviewing submissions and get back to applicants by 2nd of February 2020.
